Advantages: No drug pain relief, easy to use and cary around.

Disadvantages: Don't get it too near your eyes!

I suffer from headaches quite a lot - particularly during the working week (funny that!). Sometimes I reach for the Ibuprofen / Paracetamol but generally I don't because I don't want my body to get so used to pain killers that they no longer work when I really need them for something other than a headache! So I tend to use arnica or 4head (this product) instead as they're natural.

4head and costs just over £5, so it's more expensive than a packet of Nurofen or similar, but it lasts for ages (even if you use it a lot like me!) so it works out to be quite reasonably priced per use.

It comes in bright pink packaging and is basically a menthol stick (imagine a short fat lipstick and you're kind of there). You remove the lid, take off the protective cap and rub the stick across your forehead - hence the name 4head.

The stick leaves no mark or residue on your head and starts to work straight way - 2 or 3 seconds after contact you'll notice a kind of tingly sensation as it gets to work and I normally find that five minutes later my headache is gone.

4head is very quick and easy to use and can be kept in your handbag or desk drawer for easy access.

I've also rubbed forehead on the side of my face close to my ear when I've had an ear ache and it has worked there too!

The only thing I would say even slightly negatively about 4head is that if you rub your head after applying it and then rub your eye, it stings. Alot. So stay clear of doing that!

I've converted lots of friends and family to 4head since I started using it a few years ago and I definitely think it's the thing to have to hand for headaches.

Summary: Great for headaches if you don't want to go down the pain killer route.

Am I right in thinking the headache needs to be in the forehead region for this to work?
