... I decided to venture out from my sick bed yesterday as I had a couple of meetings which I absolutely could not reschedule and therefore would have to just pull my socks up and cope with. Its absolutely years since I had actually bought throat sweets but knowing I was going to have to speak at both meetings I decided to invest in a packet so I would have them to hand. A couple of years ago when I had it, I made the mistake of trying to carry on as normal, which made it last at least twice as long as it should have (and also resulted in more unpleasant side effects such as puffy and sore eyes, a partial blackout from not eating, and a loss of about a stone and a half in two weeks). ... here I am all stuffy headed and coughing not able to do anything due to the cough. This illness has been harder on me than I thought it was. I quickly moved from tea s and toddy s to pills and lozenges. I bought these cough lozenges as I have had them before and they usually work for a little while. As I am trying to watch my sugar intake I got the sugar free version. The flavor is as what I would expect. A menthol flavor with a hint of cherry to cover the bad taste that would other wise be left in your mouth. Each lozenge seems to last around 20 minutes or so as long as you dont chomp them.
