Many tablets are quite hard to swallow but i think Anadins narrow and long shape tablets make it easy. Most people double up of medication such as paracetamol and ibuprofen but with these this is not needed. one downfall of these tablets is that only over 12's can consume of them and you can only take 8 tablets in a space of 24 hours. We all suffer from various and multifarious minor illnesses and ailments throughout our lifetime, and if you're anything me then you can't be bothered rushing around to the doctor's surgery every time you get a minor ache or pain. Apart from the inconvenience, we don't have a National Health Service here in the Republic of Ireland, and pay for our visits to the doctor (those who can afford it) at around the Euro50 to Euro60 per visit mark, and then pay again for any prescriptions that we receive. (At the market rate for the drug; not subsidised) So the doctor's surgeries here in Ireland don't tend to be inundated with people suffering from ailments ...  Read the complete review

If you have read some of my earlier reviews, you will notice that painkillers are a big part of my life. This is because I often suffer from headaches, with some of them being particularly severe. I am a big fan of purchasing supermarket and drugstore own brand painkillers, simply because they are cheap and due to the fact that I purchase them on a regular basis, this is why I do that. Sometimes however, I would rather pay a little bit more for the extra quality, and my favourite branded painkillers are Anadin Extra. The packaging is distinct and easily noticeable, as are most Anadin products with the yellow and red colouring. This particular product contains ...  Read the complete review

Ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you that I don't do things by halves, no matter what it is. Saturday morning was a case in point. I decided to be helpful and put away the clean crockery, when I tried to put away a cup I missed the cupboard. As it fell I tried to catch it, it broke and I ended up with a really nasty gash in my wrist. Moral of this story - never argue with a cup! Anyway, the paramedics came, took me off to A&E where they confirmed I'd cut right down to my tendon. They glued it together and steri-stripped it, bandaged it up and sent me home advising paracetamol as pain relief. Paracetamol wasn't even touching the pain and so I bought ...  Read the complete review

My wife always has these in the house. She is a bit of a so and so when it comes to believing that branded products are better. On some things she is right (even when she is wrong) but on items such as Anadin Extra when directly comparable ingredients are involved, it's a harder case to justify. Having said that, for straight aspirin or paracetamol, it's an easy case to argue. Anadin Extra comprises aspirin, paracetamol and caffeine and there are fewer directly comparable products around. These tablets are now marketed as Triple Action. The box of Anadin Extra tablets contains 12 tablets in 2 x 6 blister packs. Each tablet contains 300g ...  Read the complete review

I am someone that always suffers with aches and pains. I suffer with hypothyroidism which means I get aching muscles and bad periods (amongst other things!). I also do have a diagnosed spine problem and have for a long time suffered with migraines and grinding my teeth which gives me ear and neck problems as well as a sore gob! At the moment for my back pain I take Ibuphen and paracetamol. I take no more than 8 paracetamol's in 24 hours though and I prefer to use a good quality known branded ones rather than cheapy ones as I want the best possible results I can achieve in as quickest time possible. I spotted these in Tesco on offer at a pound a box instead of ...  Read the complete review
