Advantages: Fast working, effective, triple action
Disadvantages: None
Before I get started, Its important to note that I am not a great lover of taking tablets for the slightest thing and only resort to taking them when I feel really poorly. I am just getting over a nasty cold and cough. If I get a sniffle then I just get on with i but if I get a cold I find my sinuses get quickly blocked and have a terrrible headache, the only thing that I find helps me deal with the symptoms is taking Anadin Extra tablets.
Anadin Extra is a slightly stonger pain reliever than the original anadin tablet and gets to work 3 times quicker in sorting your symptoms out. They contain the following combinations:
Asprin to target the source of the pain
Paracetamol to help block pain signals reaching the brain and
Caffenie to accelerate pain relief.
They come in a very distinctive yellow box and can't be missed on the shelves. The tablets come in a white plastic tray with a silver wrap for freshness.
The main thing for me when taking any kind of pian relief is how quickly it gets to work on my symptoms and I find Anadin takes about 15 minutes to start taking effect. The recomended dosage is to take 2 tablets every 4 hours but not to exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. I find that after the 4 hours is up the tablets are still taking effect unlike other pain relief tablets that ware off after a couple of hours.
I have taken the tablets not only for cold and flu like symptoms but for other conditions such as headaches and muscular pain but the other main reason that I took them was for dental pain, having had surgery on a gunm and tooth I was in agony, the tablets whichthe hospital gave me did not come close to dealing with my pain so i gave up and when my mum suggested trying the Anadin tablet I was amazed at how quickly I felt better.
Some people believe that taking a named brand product is just psychological and is no different to a supermarkets product or a paracetamol and maybe that is the case but Anadin is certainly the only thing that works for me.
I tend to buy the 16 tablet packs but you can also buy them in 8 or 12 packs. You can also buy a 32 tablet pack form your local pharmacy. I brought my last pack in Tesco for £1.61 but I have seen them on offer for as little as £1.00.
Like anything to do with pain-relief it is important to follow the instructions on the product carefully and always keep out of the reach of children.
In conclusion, Like I said at the start of this review, I don't like taking tablets and try to battle on as much as I can without having to take anything, I think you cna build up a resistance else to the product but every now and again when I feel really poorly I take 2 anandins and often need to take no more as they certainly sort me out!!
Summary: A tablet that really does work... and fast!!!
