Advantages: Works brilliantly on that tender area
Disadvantages: none
Haemorrhoids are a particularly uncomfortable and sometimes extremely painful ailment. They are more often called piles and many suffer from this disorder regularly. There are many wives tales associated with the condition, but there is no proof that they are caused by any of the tales you may have encountered especially the sitting or hot or cold surfaces. Haemorrhoids are caused by the swelling of veins surrounding the lower internal part of the rectum. In the most severe cases the veins swell so much that they are forced out of the back passage and are left protruding as very tender areas. It is not a pleasant subject to talk about so I apologise for any uncouthness that may emerge
As the swelling increases so does the pain as one has to commit to a bowel movement. Sitting and sometimes even just walking can be excruciating and your swelling rubs on your body and your underwear. It is most definitely not a very nice thing to have. One of the most common phrases used to describe this pain is " Like Shitting Glass " without having actually done so you can no doubt imagine the kind of pain that this may incur, fortunately there are many creams and suppositories on the market, and one of the most popular is Anusol. The product comes in two formats cream and suppositories. Suppositories are bullet shaped capsules which contain the same active ingredients as the cream, but some are considered easier to apply for some people since inserting them in the back passage is all that is required. Body heat then causes them to melt and distribute evenly over the affected area.
Similarly the cream which comes in two sizes 23g and 43g ( and retail at about £3.5 and £5.25 respectively ) can be dispensed in this manor using a small nozzle which is screwed into the end of the tube. By squeezing a little of the cream out and using it to lubricate the nozzle insertion becomes easier and far less painful. On insertion a decent amount should be squeezed into the rectal area continue squeezing as you slowly withdraw the nozzle and allow some of the cream to be left outside so that you can manually ensure any outside piles are coated with the cream.
Once the cream has been applied you will almost certainly feel instant relief as the anaesthetic effect of the cream both soothes and calms the perpetrators of your discomfort. Whilst you now feel relieved the cream will start to work on the swelling and you will feel the reduction within hours of initial use. Bowel movements might well still be quite painful but you will notice a vast difference. After each movement ensure the area is cleaned and more cream applied as required. The unfortunate expression that I previously used to describe the main will not be a thing of the past and over the next day your relief will only get better as this excellent product does it's job.
If after using this or indeed any similar product to help you with this condition for a few days with little reduction is size of haemorrhoids of relief from the discomfort you should consult your doctor as soon as possible, in drastic circumstances it is necessary to have the offending veins surgically removed, but in most cases the cream will work fine and you will soon be back to normal.
If you do suffer from this embarrassing condition don't suffer alone see your pharmacist and he/she will gladly recommend a treatment that will help you greatly reduce you pain. This product is readily available over the counter and now in most superstores such as ASDA and Morrisons. Don't put up with the suffering get that cream now and feel so much better.
Summary: A godsend if your are a sufferer
