Advantages: Cheap and no nasty taste.

Disadvantages: ?

When a headache or the likes comes on I have to reach for Ibuprofen as I cannot take paracetomal or many other pain killers.

For a long time I just went straight to Boots the chemist for my Ibuprofen but no longer.

After seeing that Asda have their own make of Ibuprofen, which will of course not actually be made by Asda but rather by a medicinal producer for asda, I decided to give them a try.

A packet of these Asda Ibuprofen costs 30p for 16 whereas I was previously paying £1.28 for 24, so the first benefit is the obvious saving.

The second benefit for me is that instead of the circular pink shiny pills that I was using I now get a much easier to swallow chalky white caplet.

I always found that when I used the shiny pink ones that as soon as I popped it in my mouth there was a taste, almost like the shiny coating was coming off on my tongue but with these there is no taste if swallowed quickly.

Asda also do these in a capsule form but for me I just stick to the caplets, Asda do a range of other medicinal products too and I would suggest they are all worth a try if these Ibuprofens are anything to go by!

Summary: Cheap pain relief.

Lidl's also do a cheap range of medicine which I buy too! Why pay more is what I say! :-)

Aside from coatings there's rarely any difference to the branded products.
