Advantages: Very cheap, Strong, they work

Disadvantages: Bit like stingy nettles....

Hello and welcome to this review!

Well who doesn't need a box of tissues sitting in the living room for mopping up those spills of drinks, picking up messy things or for runny noses? I bet there are not many people that cannot live without tissues in their household. Maybe it's just us?

Anyway these days the price of tissues really does seem to have increased, I mean £1.98 for a box of Kleenex? It's too much in my opinion, however when in our local Asda we found these. 'Asda Smart Price Tissues', since this discovery we have not looked back.

You can pick these tissues up for the extremely low price of 24p, I have seen them for 25p in another review but in our store they are only 24! Bargain. That is for 150 tissues! Really great value.

Packaging:
*********
These tissues come in the normal plain white and green Asda Smart Price box. Very boring indeed but nothing a few seconds of transferring them to a Kleenex box won't help! You could call me a liar but it's a way of saving money. The box (if you are interested) has the normal rounded pull out flap at the top. This is easily opened by pushing in and pulling It out. You could use the Asda box for display but it certainly wouldn't look too good.

The tissues quality and texture;
*************************
Now this is the bit that lets these tissues down slightly. Thee quality of the tissue is generally okay, they are very strong and do not break easily at all, however.... The texture is the main problem. They are quite rough compared to other tissues. When using on the face it feels a bit like the texture of a stinging nettle leaf at times. Well not that bad! Imaging the leaf without the sting, that's what they feel like. Rather rough and could bee slightly aggravating to the skin, especially if you were using these during a cold.

The tissues do feel quite soft but rough, that is my only complaint. It hasn't hurt me yet but if I had a cold, I certainly would not use these daily on the face.

The tissues are white in colour, they look allot like that crafting paper that you scrunch up in old art lessons. They also resemble sugar paper slightly, just not as see through as that.

Do they work?
************
Simple answer is YES! They are super absorbent and are great for picking up small spillages, they even got coke out of the carpet. They do brake up in use sometimes but that is only when they get too wet.

Overall I would say for the money you cannot go wrong if you go through a lot of tissues in your household. Remember that Asda do offer a full money back guarantee if you are not pleased with the quality, they even give you a replacement product. A free box of tissues really! It's certainly worth a try.

One thing I am very happy about is that the tissues are made from 100% recycled paper, the box is recycled too. So we are doing something helpful for the planet.

I hope this has helped, definitely worth a shot! Thank you for reading.
