Advantages: Cheap and functional

Disadvantages: Don't come out of the box one at a time

I'm not a hypochondriac honestly! But one of my ailments is permanently blocked sinuses and after 3 operations they are no better, so I have to carry tissues around with me everywhere I go. As I get through so many, it's pointless buying an branded name (and rather expensive too), so I've been using the Smart Price tissues for the past few months.

There's no doubt these are not as soft as other tissues, but they're not really harsh either, I would imagine for people who don't need to use tissues regularly that if they used these whilst they had a bad cold then they would feel rough on the delicate skin. But for general use these tissues should be fine.

They are reasonably thick, certainly not as thick as the likes of Kleenex for Men, but thicker than some of the cosmetic tissues (usually found in cube boxes rather than rectangle boxes). So when you blow your nose, you're not going to end up with gooey hands!

I don't usually mention anything to do with packaging, but this is the only thing that annoys me about these tissues. They never come out of the box one at a time. Rather than being individually packed they are concertinaed so as you pull the top one out, the next one is supposed to pop up ready for the next time you need to use them. This rarely happens though and you usually end up with 3 or 4 tissues coming out at one time, and then you have to shove them all back in the box again.

Although when you consider these are only 33p, compared to over £1.50 for branded ones, it's an inconvenience I can live with.

I am a bit funny about tissues, and tend to go for Kleenex, as they are the least irritating (in my experience anyway). However, as you rightly point out, they are far, far more expensive than the shops' own brand options.
