Avon Sleeptherapy Sleep Balm
Advantages: Non greasy formula
Disadvantages: May not work for everyone
~Tell me all about Avon Sleep Therapy Balm~
Avon Sleep Therapy Balm is an interesting and easy to use product that has been specially formulated to offer an alternative form of help for those who suffer from light sleep problems due to a variety of factors. I came across the product when flicking through the Avon brochure and decided it might be more useful than the Boots Pillow Mist Spray I had been using. Both products had a lavender theme which is a scent that I like so I hoped the Sleep Therapy Balm would turn out to be a good purchase.
Avon Sleep Therapy Balm is just one of the products in the Avon Sleep Therapy range. Other products include a Sleep Therapy Dreamy Body Wash and a Sleep Therapy Good Night Pillow Mist. The idea of the range of products is that via aromatherapy they are able to promote a more relaxed and restful state which may allow the user to attain and maintain a better sleep pattern. In use I have found the product is easy to use, has a non greasy feel and is very easy to apply to my pulse points.
~What does the product and packing look like?~
Avon Sleep Therapy Balm comes packed in a simple and minimal tub that consists of a small rounded glass base with a screw top lid. The lavender scented balm inside the tub is not the pale lilac toned colour that you might expect based on the lavender theme of the product, instead its a plain creamy see through balm that is colourless once its on your skin. The label on the top of the tub has a simple night time motif that is nothing special, although it does reflect the aim of the product which is to send the user off on a blissfully stress free sleep experience. I feel the look of the product is simple and not at all fussy.
~Name your price!~
The usual price of Avon Sleep Therapy Balm is £3 for which you can expect a small 10ml sized tub of the product. There are often reductions as Avon do amend their prices on a regular basis and right now the Sleep Therapy Balm is on offer for a reduced price of just £1.80. I feel this is a fair price for the amount of product that you get in the tub.
~Summary and rating~
When I used the Avon Sleep Therapy Balm I found that it was very easy to apply to my pulse points and could be gently rubbed in leaving no greasy residue. The scent of the product had a subtle lavender tone which I found was light and easy to get along with. It did have a relaxing fragrance that lasted a short while and when I used it I found it very pleasing, yet I didn't feel it contributed all that much towards a more restful sleep which was rather a disappointment. As the product is aimed to help you drift off to sleep I feel it fell a little short and with that in mind I can only give it a 3 star product rating.
