Advantages: None

Disadvantages: Expensive, fiddly

This was the first product that I tried for my daughters verrucas and I bought it on recommendation from the chemist because I was told it would form a protective seal over the verruca and she would not need to use the rubber socks in the pool.

What Is Bazuka
===========
Bazuka is a treatment for verrucas which contains the active ingredients salicyitic acid and lactic acid which are meant to break down verrucas.

Cost
====

Normal price for a tiny 5g tube of gel is £5.23 from Boots. Because it says it takes up to 12 weeks to work, you may end up buying more than one tube of this product.

Using The Product
=============

This product is fiddly to use. You start by soaking the feet for a couple of minutes before applying a small dollop of the clear gel and leaving it to dry. You need to peel the patch off the foot every night and repeat the process. Once a week you use a small emery board provided to file the rough skin around the verruca down, a process which is extremely painful, before re applying the gel. The verruca is meant to slowly disappear over a period of a few weeks.

Did It Work
========

Nope, it did nothing to help my daughters verrucas. We went through the whole application regime every night for weeks, using two tubes of bazuka and the verrucas actually increased in size and became more painful during this time.

My Verdict
=======

This product was time consuming and fiddly to use, expensive and did not work. I would not recommend to anybody that they use it and simply freeze the verrucas off using wartner instead.

Summary: A waste of time and money

What a fiddle and all for nothing. Since its primary active ingredient is salicylic acid, it makes you wonder if grinding aspirins into a paste wouldn't have been just as (in)effective
