Advantages: easy to apply & quick to work in my experience
Disadvantages: may not suit everyone
With my late Mum having a few warts over the years & my late father suffering skin cancer (successfully treated I hasten to add) I've always been aware that lumps & bumps etc should always be examined & treated. When I was young the only treatment for verrucas was to burn them out & be banned from visiting our local swimming pool for weeks at a time.
Luckily there are several treatments which are quick to use & often get rid of callouses etc & if I ever need a product I go for Bazouka to get rid of the odd wart.
The last tube I bought cost me over £5 but eliminated a little wart I had on the inside of my wrist & annoyed the life out of me as it rubbed against my watch. After about 1 week of using Bazuka gel twice a day the wretched thing was no more so I'd have to recommend it.
The tiny5g metal tube is packed in a neat box along with ful directions, ingredients cautions etc. I don't normally read leaflets to be honest but it's worth having a good read of these as they recommend eg diabetics don't use nor pregnant women. There's also good advice about visiting your doctor if you're worried or the wart etc is itchy or spreads or changes colour.
The clear gel doesn't smell too bad - a bit like a mild glue? - & it's very easy to just dispense a tiny it due to the very thin nozzle which allows you to apply just a tiny bit at a time. It's advised that you avoid putting on unaffected areas or cracked/broken skin.
It soon dries leaving a white area on the skin & the gel seems to seal in the offending spot & if you bang/nudge it the 'covering' doesn't come off very easily yet is easily removed if washed & rinsed.
As stated I found this product worked quickly & effectively on my wart & although this was several weeks ago there's no sign of it reappearing & no scar or sign of where it was.
summary
~
- may not work for all types of verruca etc but there is a stronger gel available by Bazuka.
- easy to apply due to well designed nozzle.
- doesn't smell too bad & works quickly.
- may not suit everyone - check the leaflet if you can before purchasing/ ask advice from pharmacist.
- well worth a try if you know exactly what you're dealing with - if not, see the doctor.
Summary: recommended for getting rid of warts in my opinion

- 02/08/09 Totally agree with your rating. I had a pesky wart on the side of my foot and this did the job very nicely. |

- 24/07/09 There are three types of warts (herpes virus) The first is easy to treat and responds quickly to any wart remover. The second strain is a tad more persistant but in time will go. The third strain is very resilient and the only quick way to remove them is by cryosurgery (freezing them off ) |

- 24/07/09 I'll have to give this a go as I have one on my finger and hurts when I type. |
