Advantages: Easy to use, emery file supplied.
Disadvantages: Takes ages to dry and not alot of improvement.
It is only till reaching my 20's, that I have noticed warts surfacing around my hands. Though most of them were small and hardly noticable, there was one that seemed to be taking over .. maybe a slight over-exageration but it was
I went into Boots and found the most well known brand of wart removal, Bazuka gel, with intent to get rid of these nasty warts as soon as possible.
At around £6, it is not the cheapest but I had faith that it would do the job.
In the yellow box you get the 5g gel, an emery file and the instructions (although it is very simple to use so I only briefly skimmed over them).
I found the gel took ages to harden after being applied, which meant I had to wait for up to 30mins before I could do anything as normal. One advantage is that it doesnt sting.
Bazuka works by using salicylic acid to burn off keratin (which is a protein part of skin). Once this skin has started to slowly break down you are able to use the emery board once a week to rub the skin off. Make sure you dont rub too hard that the skin breaks and you bleed, this can further infect the wart area.
I used the product for 5-6 weeks without noticing much of an improvement. Maybe if I had persevered then I would have noticed a steady difference.
In the end I got in contact with my GP who froze the warts off, it was painful and I had to wear plasters on my fingers for up to 3 weeks but my hands are now wart-free.
This product would be great for people who are completly commited to getting rid of their warts through a long period of time, I unfortunetly was not one of those people.
Summary: An easy to use prodcut but it takes a long time.
