Advantages: Effective, Easy to apply
Disadvantages: Can be a slow process
Bazuka Gel is very useful I think to clear up warts, verrucas, corns or calluses. The name verruca is actually a word for a wart on the sole of the foot. My experience of Bazuka gel is for clearing up verrucas. The tube of Bazuka gel comes in a very handy 5g size and contains the following 2 active ingredients: 1) Salicylic Acid (12%) 2) Lactic Acid (4%) All these other ingredients are inactive: Camphor, Proxylin, Ethanol, and Ethyl Acetate. Our son suffered from verrucas for quite a while and we decided to buy Bazuka gel from the chemist on their recommendation. The pharmacist was very helpful by informing us that the gel actually softens the skin growth. This can then be removed by using an emery board or skin scraper. Also needed is a towel. We were also told to just keep these items for only that use, as verrucas are very infectious. Usage: Before starting to use the gel for the first time you must read the instructions on how to set up the tube for implementation. The gel should be used on a daily basis, preferably in the evening. To start with, we were instructed to soak our son?s feet for about 2 to 3 minutes in warm water. After this his personal towel was used to thoroughly dry the areas to be treated with the gel. We then applied a thin coating (which is about 1 or 2 droplets) of the Bazuka gel to each verruca top. In a few minutes the gel dried to show a white blob. This sticks to the skin, which then helps the active ingredients to penetrate into the infected area. This is now a waterproof covering and should be left un-plastered. After 24 hours the white blob can be carefully picked off and wrapped up in a tissue and discarded. Repeat the application of the gel to the verruca. After 1 week of this process you should use the emery board or skin scraper to gently rub over the verruca, and then repeat the application process as before. Our son had t
o carry on with this treatment for about 10 weeks until the verrucas disappeared. Unfortunately, sometimes the white blob stayed on the verruca as it was too hard to remove it. If this happens to you then leave the gel on and it will eventually come off on it?s own. Warning: Be very careful when using Bazuka gel and read the instructions thoroughly. Do not use Bazuka gel on birthmarks, moles, other spots or broken/grazed skin. Do not use if you are diabetic. Also do not use on the neck, face, breasts, armpits, or bottom. Keep this type of medical treatment away from eyes, mouth, nose and genital regions. Bazuka gel should be stored at room temperature under 25 Centigrade. All in all, I can recommend Bazuka gel to anyone suffering from verrucas.
