It's cold and flu season again and like half the population I have got the sniffles, a sore throat, blocked sinuses and pounding headache. My daughter came to me on Sunday night complaining of having a sore throat and when I told her to take paracetomol she said she could not swallow. I headed to the co-op to see what was on offer and ended up coming home with Beechams all in one liquid which cost £4.50 for an 160ml bottle. It looks like you are getting a big bottle of medicine but as each adult dose is 20ml of medicine then there is only 8 doses in a bottle, enough to last only two days if you take the maximum recommended dose. It contains paracetomol to ease ... Read the complete review

I have always found it surprising just how quickly a cough and cold can actually take hold over a person's body to the extent that they are basically confined to bed in a matter of hours. A few Saturdays ago I had just got in from doing the food shopping and felt absolutely awful, my limbs felt as if they were made of lead and my head felt as if it was stuffed with cotton wool. Now I don't suffer from the flu at all, but this had happened so quick that the only thing I could do was to go and sleep this off, this was at 2pm. I awoke later on that evening at 8pm and was sweating and had also developed a temperature as well. I thought I had felt rough before but ... Read the complete review

Well it's that time of year again when a lot of people are getting colds and I am no exception! I usually suffer throguh them but with it being Christmas, which I want to be well enough to enjoy, and when I am spending a fortune anyway, I thought I would pick up a bottle of Beechams. I was attracted to the product over other cold remedies because I know that Beechams is a trusted brand and because it says on the bottle that it is non-drowsy, and of course, like everyone, I have too much to do at this time of year to be able to fall asleep in the middle of the day! Also, I like the fact that the carton (the bottle comes in a carton) states that it ... Read the complete review

For the last few days I have been suffering with, or from, a heavy cold. I have a constantly running or blocked nose, a temperature, a headache and an achy feeling in the front of my face which I am assuming is from my sinuses. I don't have any aches and pains in my body and haven't completely lost my appetite so it is a cold rather than a flu. I don't really like to take medication but I have felt so awful that I needed to buy something over the counter to quickly help reduce the symptoms, so I called to my local Boots. I went to Boots looking for something to help me feel better and at least there was an offer on flu/cold/cough remedies, they were on 3 for 2 ... Read the complete review

This is one product I wish I was never in a position to be able to review but unfortunately I can. About two weeks ago I got a really painful sore throat that made it very painful to swallow this after a few days developed into a chesty cough and coughing up loads of phlegm. I was aching and generally feeling rough. All this time all I took was Paracetamol as my son also had a virus as well I considered that nothing would help. After nine days of feeling rough I dragged myself to the chemist and croaked to the pharmacist to give me something to help. She suggested the Beechams all in one which cost me £5.18 for a twelve dose bottle. It ... Read the complete review
