I was recommended the take this a couple of years ago by my local chemist, and it is the only Cough bottle/medine I tend to keep in the house. I hate having the cold - i'm sure we all do, but in my job, if I cannot talk, then it impacts me hugely! My husband is off work just now with Man Flu, and of course I cannot imagine the severity of this bad disease being a girl! Although I have a sniffle just now and a bit of a tickly cough and sore throat, i'm still managing to cope with everyday life - work/avon orders/ cooking/ cleaning/ ironing and so on. Then again us women are great at getting on with things - after all we are the stronger species! Anyway back to the product.

You can buy this in capsule format, which works ok, but I don;t think you can beat a nasty tasting Cough bottle for effectiveness. This roughly costs £4.50 for a twelve dose bottle.

This treats Headaches, Blocked Noses, Sore Throats, Fevers and Chesty Coughs.

The packaging for this is alright. It is a blue cardboard box which is kinda rectangular. It has a picture of the plastic dosing cup full of orange liquid and it states what it treats. The bottle is a brown glass bottle with a wrap around label. It also has a long informative leaflet tucked into the bottle.

Since this has Paracetomol as an active ingredients, then you cannot use any other Product that has Paracetomol in it. I have to say when I had a really bad flu I took this with Lemsips, and another thing and i'm still here. I don't recommend taking loads of products anyway, but you will know how desperate you can get while trying to get rid of the Flu - i'm sure harming yourself isn't worth it though.

You take 20ml of the liquid every 4 hours if needed but no more than 4 doses in 24 hours. This is pretty adequate, as when I need to take this, I gap this over taking it when I get up at 6.30, another at 12pm, another about 5pm, and again about 9pm.

I cannot compare the taste of the liquid to anything I don't think. The syrup is pretty thick and it tastes pretty bad. It is a right heavy tasting thing, kind of like a peppary ginger taste but worse.

After about halfway though the bottle I would have to say I normally feel better. This works by making you cough up the annoying phlem stuff and clearing your throat, working on reducing your temperature, so you don't feel so lifeless and helps by just dealing with all the nasty symptoms.

Although perhaps expensive, a 1 stop shop that should help you shift those nasty bugs.
