... Phenylephrine and they help with sore throats, blocked nose, headaches and fever. On the back of the box you are told that these are not to be used by children under 12 and that you can use one sachet every 4-6 hours and must not exceed 4 sachets in 24 hours which is due to the Paracetamol. I personally have noticed that each sachet contains 600mg of Paracetamol which considering an adult can take 2 x 500mg Paracetamol tablets every 4-6 hours the sachets actually don't give you your full doseage. Inside the box you find 5 l...more

I'm sick. There you have it, I've said it now. For the record, I don't generally get sick. I'm really quite healthy y'know but this year I picked up a sickness bug some time on Boxing Day and I can't fu...lipping get rid of it even now. Things seem to have settled into a mere cold now as opposed to anything more extravagant and at least it wasn't that projectile vomiting that was...erm....spreading across the country (ewwww...picture that). So anyway, I'm taking Beechams Cold and Flu Hot lemon to ease the pain of my manflu *reader rolls eyes* For the princely sum of £1.80 I got a wee cardboard box with a piccie of a mug with steam coming out of the top and a ...  Read the complete review

Crowned ReviewBeechams Cold + Flu Remedies: Beechams hot lemon and honey flu cold and flu remedy (847 words)

Whenever I am struck down with a cold I always reach for the Beecham's hot drinks as I always find them very soothing when I have a cold. The drinks can be bought in various flavours including hot lemon and honey, blackcurrant and a new hot berry fruits version. For the purpose of this review I will comment on the hot lemon and honey drinks. The hot lemon and honey drinks can be bought in packs or five or ten from chemists and supermarkets. A pack of five will cost around £1.99 and a pack of ten will cost around £3.80 so it is slightly better value to purchase them in packs of ten. I would advise this if you can as you can often go through three or four ...  Read the complete review

Please relieve the thumping (474 words)

I have started using beechams in our house rather than Lesmips as we have found that our local Home Bargains store sells them at a 5 pack for 99p which when you compare to the price of lemsips is much cheaper. You can buy a couple of different flavours in the Beechams range but I always stick with the blackcurrant as I really don't like the lemon much and I haven't tried any other flavours like the berries as I don't want to buy a pack to find I don't like them. Beechams comes packaged in a navy and bright yellow box so they are easy to spot when you are looking for them, on the front of the box it tells you they contain Paracetamol and ...  Read the complete review

Our medicine cabinet/cupboard is jam packed with stuff for when we have colds and flu. The last thing you feel like doing when you are not well is traipsing out to the shops to pick something up to take the edge off of it so I always make sure we have stuff available. We have a box of Beechams Hot Lemon Cold & Flu sachets in our cupboard. There are ten sachets in a pack and each sachet is enough for one cup. The sachets come in little square cardboard box which is bright yellow and royal blue in colour. It has te Beechams name across the top and cold and flu just underneath with a list stating what it can be used for. It also has a picture of a jug of hot ...  Read the complete review
