I first used Beechams flu plus tablets about 4 years ago when I was suffering with a terrible bout of the flu. I visited my chemist and asked advise on what the best remedy would be to help ease my symptoms, he advised me to try Beechams flu plus, I cant remember how much they cost me back then but now they retail at £4.99 for a box of 24, so they are expensive but they are well worth the money.

They come in a blue and red box with the Beechams logo on the front and the picture of two tablets. It states that they are flu plus caplets and help to relieve Fever, aches & pains, sinus pain, blocked nose, headaches and that they are non drowsy. It also advises you that they contain paracetamol and decongestant. On the back of the box it advises you they these tablets provide rapid relief from major cold and flu symptoms and that you should take them at the very first sign of a cold or flu. Adults and children over the age of 12 can take 2 caplets every four to six hours as required; you should not take any more than 8 caplets in 24 hours. Children aged six to twelve can take 1 caplet every four to six hours, not exceeding four in 24 hours.

Inside the pack there are three plastic tablets sheets each containing eight tablets, they are in the usual foil backed plastic sheet so you just pop the tablets out of the packet. The tablets themselves are red in colour and your average sized tablet. They are not too large so that you have difficulty in swallowing them.

Ever since I first tried these tablets I am never without a packet in the house, I swear by them. I take a couple whenever I start to feel the tell tale signs of flu or a cold. I usually start to ache or get a sore throat before anything else, so if I take two of these tablets and then take 2 every four hours I find that the flu doesn't come out at all, the tablets seem to get rid of it before it even starts!! I can honestly say that since I started using these I have only had flu once and that is when I was pregnant and couldn't take these tablets. So I would highly recommend these to anyone that suffers with a lot of colds or flu, they are a life saver!!
