... exploding-head emergencies. You get 12 capsules in a packet. They are smallish blue and white gelatin capsules and are easy to swallow. Each capsule contains 8 mg Acrivastine and 60mg of Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. The Acrivastine is the anti-histamine that prevents the symptoms of the allergic reaction. It is a fast-acting one that should start working within 15 minutes, which is why Benadryl is good for those emergencies. The Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride is a decongestant, the same as something like Sudafed. It is the sa...more

Crowned Review Benadryl Plus: Benadryl Cream : The Facts (957 words)

Rating:

Now that I’m living totally on my own – not with friends or family or 15 other girls as I have done before – and in particular in a country where pharmacies are far too complicated for their own good, things like First aid kids have come into my possession. Mine is very small, though, and only really contains a few things. Plasters. Strepsils. Savlon. Disprin. And, strangely enough, Benadryl Cream. * Fact : There are lots of biting insects in this world. And this summer it seemed that all of them converged on Menorca for the few months I was there. Barely a day went by without me finding a new bite somewhere on my body. I react ...  Read the complete review

I generally take Loratadine on a daily basis to keep the itches and sneezes at bay - well, during the summer and when about to visit friends with animals, anyway. That works over time - you need to start taking it a few days before you expect a problem, and keep on taking it regularly. So I also keep a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sneeze hayfever goodbye (362 words)
by - written on 04/06/09 (Very useful, 37 readings)
Rating:

I first started suffering with hayfever when I was 16, about 12 years ago now. So that's 12 years of suffering through May and June, sniff sniff. When I first got my hayfever I struggled on, determined not to let it bother me. Anyone who suffers this time of the year will realise that's not the sensible option. So i took myself off to the doctors to get some help. The doctor suggested a few solutions from herbal remedies, to local honey, to drugs. Tried a few of the natural options but needed something stronger. So I went for the drugs. Tried a few different options, some worked, but made me drowsy and made my head fuzzy. Some didn't do this, but didn't stop my ...  Read the complete review
