The actual ointment is a mucky green kind of colour which vanishes once applied and smells herby and quite pleasant. The texture is more like a cream than an ointment and although this contains oils it doesn't feel oily at all. Once on it does leave a slight oily layer for a short period of time but soon disappears completely so if you are looking for something very oily this isn't it.

I've used quite a few of the ointments from Bio-Health and recently decided to give the Echinacea one a try. As most people know Echinacea is a herb well known for it's immune system boosting properties and I had a number of dry inflamed patches of skin that I thought might benefit from some immune boosting help so ordered a 42g tub from Amazon. At the time it cost me around £5 and is still available in a number of online places for around that price.
