For as long as I can remember I have suffered terribly with trapped wind and bloating. I think it is partly hereditary, since my grandmother had similar issues throughout her life. I tend to eat quickly, and then fill will wind. I also find that I have to eat very regularly otherwise I end up being lightheaded and I simply fill up with trapped wind and an be in severe pain until things ease (usually with the help of a hot water bottle). In the early days of my dating my husband (then boyfriend), we had attended a family dinner at his parent's house, and with the meal itself being quite late into the evening, I was already starving and had filled with ... I couldn't believe it until I checked again, that dooyoo only had one review on Bisodol, and even that was from quite some time back. Does that mean I'm the only one who get indigestion? Well I'm here to put that right:-) Indigestion ======== What is indigestion? Indigestion (also known as dyspepsia) is caused when we eat something difficult to digest and our stomach produces more acid than is needed. Acid in the stomach then enters the gullet and it irritates the stomach lining and gullet. It is quite common in Adults and Children, and is usually caused by eating something too fast, or something the stomach doesn't agree with. There is quite ... Read the complete review

During my first pregnancy, I used to get heartburn during the night, and my medicine of choice was Rennies. I'd wake up, pop in a Rennie, sleep for another hour then wake up and pop in another. The only medicine the doctor will give you is Gaviscon, which I had never tried before, and was disappointed on trying it. I ended up spending a fortune on Rennies and drinking gallons of milk. I am now 36 weeks into my second pregnancy, and my heartburn has been 10 times worse this time. The Rennie's worked up until about 4 weeks ago, and the Gaviscon as usual doesn't work one bit, so at the end of my tether now with getting not one bit of sleep due to heartburn and having .. One of the side effects, and believe me it is only one of a zillion, of having food allergies and intolerances is the effect it has on your overall digestion. I take digestive enzymes, but they don't help the bloating and the pain. Until now, however there was little I could do, as the tablets I had see that could help, were in gelatine shells -and knowing where gelatine comes from- well let's just say No thank you- I would rather suffer. I then found Bisodol which has a three way action - rapid relief from acid indigestion, heartburn, and trapped wind. They are peppermint in flavour and can be sucked or chewed. You wouldn't call the taste ... Read the complete review

Bisodol seems to have been around for donkey's years and it is the tried and trusted remedy for symptoms of acid indigestion. I have to watch my diet and I am trying hard to lose weight (doc's orders) since the New Year. I do like spicy food though and I think this is the cause sometimes of my acid indigestion and certainly my heartburn. I find it worse at night after I have gone to bed and I can lie awake for ages with the most terrific burning pain across my upper abdomen and up through my esophagus. The doctor has advised me that I have acid reflux but though I have this under control (to a degree) I still suffer from plain old heartburn on a fairly regular basis . Read the complete review
