My mum first introduced me to aromatherapy, which is a complementary therapy where you use essential oils to help improve your mind and body. Lavender is well known as a relaxing product, that can ease stress and anxiety, so it's quite a popular essential oil and I probably buy a bottle every six to eight months. This particular product - Boots Botanics Lavender Essential Oil - is made with 100% essential oils - meaning that this is lavender oil in it's purest form. You can buy a 10ml bottle for £4.00, or a 20ml bottle for £6.79. The bottle itself is childproof and the glass is also tinted, to prevent the oil from being altered by ... Read the complete review

I'd never really been interested in aromatherapy, or known what essential oils were, until a very enthusiastic lady descended on my school one afternoon to give us sixth formers a talk on the subject. I was delighted, although more about the fact that we were getting out of lessons, it has to be said! But as the talk went on, I became really interested in what she had to say. She gave us a brief overview of many of the different essential oils, what they could help with and how to use them, and left us with a sheet of info summarising this. I was completely won over, and decided to get some for myself. Being pretty impoverished at the time, I decided my budget could just Read the complete review

Lavender is something I think everyone knows quite a bit about though as it is quite a popular oil for may reasons and is something my mom is never without in her oil collection - shes going to kill me when she finds out Ive used the whole bottle! Now basically the only reason I personally started using this is because when I first quit smoking over a week ago I found it very hard to fall asleep as that is one of the many withdrawal symptoms. I went to bed at around 10pm one night . Read the complete review

Please note, if you suffer from epilepsy, skin allergies or are pregnant seek professional advice before using essential oils. I have been interested in aromatherapy for a few years now. For those of you who don't know aromatherapy is the use of essential oils in various ways in the hope it has a positive effect on your body and or mind. You can use essential oils in an oil burner with water to allow the smell to permeate through your room, house etc or you can use them in massage oils, in carrier oil to put in your bath or simply by inhaling the vapour. You should always read the instructions on any essential oil before use as some individuals are advised ... Read the complete review

At the moment I have, what I have termed "a night cold". I am fighting fit in the day and can operate as normal without any cold like symptoms, then, (possibly coinciding with the moon) I begin sneezing and my nose has been leaking to the degree that i've considered calling out a plumber! What's that about?? So, after suffering like this the past few days, I have relented, and gone to Boots in search of something I know will give me relief when I need it but also not make me doped up (hence not making a Doctor's appointment). I found this miracle oil at Boots for £6.79 for 20ml. Which seemed abit exorbitant, but as I am suffering, i decided to buy it rather ... Read the complete review
