I hate insects especially biting ones as they seem to be drawn to me and if there are any around you can be guaranteed they will ignore everyone else and come straight for me. I usually buy some insect repellent spray but I have used these wipes a couple of times and although I don't think they are quite as handy as a spray they do an ok job and because they are so easy to just put in my pocket they are handy to have if I am going in to the countryside for the day. When my husband and I went to Greece on a recent holiday, we took with us Boots Pharmaceuticals REPEL Insect Repellent Wipes Tropical Strength, which contain 50% DEET. Having travelled extensively in southern Europe, experience has taught us that my husband is highly susceptible to mosquito bites (there's something very lovely about my husband's skin). Although none of these bites have ever made him ill, they cause him great discomfort - they're extremely itchy, annoying, and can be unsightly too.
