I think most people have heard of chamomile, it is very common and is used in many beauty products. It can be found in things like handcream, handwash, shampoo and facial wash, but it is not only used as a beauty product. It can be bought as a homeopathic medicine tooand as an essential oil. Chamomile can also be drank in a tea or used in the bath to relax us. Chamomile can be bought at the health shop as an essential oil for around 3.50 or you can by it as teabags for around 2.99. A lot of supermarkets and chemists sell other beauty products with chamomile and it can also be grown in your garden. I think it's a must around the home because of ... Read the complete review

Essentail Oil of Chamomile has a number of applications. For calming and soothing it is excellent, which makes it a good choice for children. On an emotional level, it eases anxiety, helps with insomnia and is useful for pre menstrual tension. For physical ailments it is indicated for muscular aches, sprains and swollen joints. I always use Chamomile when hubby comes home with aches and pains after football and nine times out of ten it is effective. Also I rub a couple of drops (in carrier) on my temples and occipital region when I am in the grip of a headache (although I find peppermint even more effective for this type of pain). When applied to the ... Read the complete review

What a many splendored thing chamomile is! A few drops in the kids bath before bed and they're out like a light! Use a few drops with lavender in a oil burner in the evening for a relaxed nights sleep. Works very well in helping with insomnia and with children who find sleep diificult. You have to shop around for essential oils though as prices can vary quite dramatically. Health food shops are not always the best places and are often over priced. ... Read the complete review

This plant has many healing attributes, from tea to the actual plant. The oil is pretty much the same, it’s a natural anti-inflammatory and healing agent. The tea tastes too disgusting for me so I prefer to use the oil. It smells like a mixture of apples and straw. The effects of this oil are great to use for insomniacs, stress, insect bites (never use it undiluted!), burns and period aches and pains. I use this oil quite sparingly as I found it is quite expensive, but it is great, so if you’re starting your Aromatherapy collection it’s a good one to have. ... Read the complete review
