It does what it says on the box. (but made me itch) (Deep Heat Fast Relief Rub)

Advantages: it will relieve muscular pain for about 30 minutes an application

Disadvantages: It uses heat so can cause irritation like heat rash on some people

I bought this product after I had overdone it at the gym: my thighs and my back ached and I knew it was muscular. I bought this from boots for under £5 and think this is ok/average value.

This product comes in cream form in a tube, its easy to carry around and easy to apply as its a white cream, you can see where its going.

I applied this all over the areas I felt pain. I had to wait for about 15 minutes for it to settle in as it can feel quite greasy at first. It does dry quite well though and wont leave your skin too oily. It also has quite a strong smell, so do not use this before a night out as I dont think it will blend well with perfume!

After about 15 minutes from application, I noticed my skin warm up very much, it did give some relief which I was grateful for.

What I did find though was that my skin really really began to itch, and I was beginning to develop heat rash on the parts of my body I had rubbed the cream into. It was hard to not scratch as it was that itchy. I dont know if I have very sensitive skin, normally every other product is fine with me, but this really brought me out in heat rash. Some of the people I spoke to who also use this say they have the same problem.

On the plus side, it did releave the muscular pains for about 30 minutes, though obviously as its not a product to cure the pain, the relief will wear off and the pain will return, so you will need to reapply.

I would still use this cream, it does do what it says, it does use heat and relieves the pain, but you do need to be prepared for the side effects.

Summary: I think this is a good buy for quick relief but it wont cure the problem.
