Advantages: Price savvy

Disadvantages: Doesnt retain heat for too long

As a general rule of thumb I like to review things that have been used in our household fairly recently.
Tonight its been Deep Heat Fast Relief Rub.
Husband was complaining of a sore neck and shoulder, so out comes the deep heat.

Applied 5 10p size blobs to his skin and tried to rub it in. One thing I noticed is that it takes a lot of rubbing before the cream seeps into the skin, and it goes a fairly long way. Husbands skin looked like it had a white film over it for about 3 minutes of rubbing.
Massaged it in and after I'd stopped rubbing it in, it heated up quite quickly and he felt the heat being absorbed into his muscles. Now after half an hour, his shoulder has improved but it doesnt seem to have worked so well on the neck muscles. The heat relief doesnt last for long, and although he can still tell there is a lotion on his skin it is no longer warming.

His response to it is that "it's alright" and done the job he needed.
Now I've used this before and to be honest, I've never really felt much.
I would recomended it for light muscular pain, and for the price (35g for around 2.99) it does a fairly good job on just aching muscles.
Given how much I used and how far it went, one of these tubes will last quite a while.
It comes in a tube similar to toothpaste, or another topical treatment cream. The packaging is fairly distinctive bright red cardboard outer, and a bright red tube of the actual cream with a screw off lid, which can be a bit fiddly to put back on if your hands are covered in the cream.
Its a very thick cream with a greasy texture left on my hands. All in all I would say for the price, its good to have a tube at home.

Summary: Good to have in the cupboard at home
