... That's when I remembered this treatment from my childhood. I looked all over in an attempt to purchase this but I couldn't find it in any shops - supermarkets and pharmacies included. After an online search, I found it on the One Click Pharmacy website, for only a couple of pounds (a much more reasonable price to pay!) and ordered. The salactol comes in a brown glass bottle in bright green cardboard box. The lid to the bottle unscrews and reveals an applicator wand attached which dips into the liquid. Salacto...more

Dermal Laboratories Limited Salactol Wart Paint: No More Warts (354 words)

Salactol Wart Paint is something I have used to get rid of two massive warts on my hand and a small verruca on my left foot. The warts on my hand were growing underneath the fingernal and actually making the nail grow sideways and it was starting to hurt when I was trying to hold a pen or pencil to write. A friend suggested Salactol and until then it was not something I had ever heard of before. I bought mine from Tesco's at £2.79 for a small bown coloured glass bottle with screw top lid, containing 10mls of fluid. The instructions are on the back of the box and first it told me I had to file my wart down with an emery board. It felt a bit odd doing this ...  Read the complete review

I have a wart ? Oh, thank god! (732 words)

Some time ago, I developed a small painless pea sized lump on my side an inch or so below my armpit. This threw me into a complete panic, and perhaps foolishly decided to look it up on the internet. This led to me worrying far too much, panicking that I might have cancer, and phoning my GP begging for an emergency appointment. My GP took a good look, and told me that it was nothing more dangerous than a wart. I've never been so relieved in my life, and my GP advised me to simply leave it alone, and take care when shaving . However, despite my relief at it being nothing serious, it soon started to irritate me, as despite it being small it made me feel really ...  Read the complete review

Being diabetic means I am more prone to warts and verrucas worse luck!!. Recently I've had them on my feet. I spent weeks going to the nurse at my local practice to have them sprayed with liquid nitrogen to try and freeze them. This didn't work as well as I had hoped so she suggested I try wart paint. I went to the chemist and got some Salactol. A bit about Warts They are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus. This in turn causes a hard protein called Keratin in the top layer of the skin to grow too much. The result is the rough hard bumpy piece of skin that we call a wart. They are harmless but very contagious so extra care should be taken when ...  Read the complete review

Warts Away! (363 words)

I remember using salactol wart paint on my verrucas years ago when I was a child. I suffered terribly with verrucas as a child but, luckily, haven't been troubled since. This always used to help get rid of them (although I had to have more persistent ones 'frozen out' at the doctors). When my partner developed a rather large verruca on his foot, we tried all sorts of over the counter remedies to get rid of it - including various types of the more modern 'home freeze' treatments. These were very expensive but didn't seem to shift the verruca at all. That's when I remembered this treatment from my childhood. I looked all over in an attempt to purchase this ...  Read the complete review
