Advantages: cleans well, cheap, dries oily skin

Disadvantages: the smell but it doesn't last long

I have to admit I'm keen on antibacterial soaps, I like the fact they kill alot of germs and leave your skin very clean. I bought the dettol soap for 65p a bar from Wilkinsons and intended to use it on my hands only after very dirty tasks like gardening etc.

I have to be careful of dettol, if too much of the scent is around me it makes me wheeze but the soap doesn't smell too strong, it does smell of dettol and they haven't tried to hide it under perfume but it isn't excessively strong.

The bar itself is pale yellow in colour with their logo stamped on it and very rectangular in shape so it's a good size.

I ended up using mine in the bath at times too, if you've been to the swimming pool it's particularly useful as it gets rid of the chlorine smell and any nasties you could have got on your skin in the changing rooms too. I would also take this if I went into hospital to try and reduce the possibility of catching any germs or bugs while there.

It cleans very well and removes quite alot of oil from the skin so if you have oily skin it would be perfect for you or if like me you have dry skin you need to follow up with lots of moisturiser. It really leaves you feeling very clean and the dettol smell doesn't last long so you won't smell of disinfectant for hours!

A great soap for deep cleaning.
