Dettol Antiseptic Disinfectant is a great product to always have in the house as it has so many uses and isn't just for cleaning.

Its main purpose in my house though is as a disinfectant. I put some in the mop bucket and use it to wash my floors and disinfect them. It can also be used on work tops etc. to clean and disinfect but I do find that the smell is a little overpowering for this.

I love the smell on my floors though and think it smells really fresh and clean and although you can definitely tell it is a disinfectant it is a lot nicer than some of them and although it smells very medicinal it doesn't remind me of hospitals unlike some other disinfectants. It makes my house smell fresh and clean and when I mop the floors with it the clean smell really goes throughout the house.

As it is a disinfectant this can be used to clean out cuts and grazes. I don't use this on the kids very often unless we have nothing else in the house as they say it stings and they don't like the smell but I have used it on myself a few times as I always feel as though this really cleans out any grazes and cuts and will be killing any germs.

Dettol is also my favourite bathroom smell and is my cleaner of choice for using in the toilet as it really freshens it up as well as making it sparkly clean and it smells a whole lot better than bleach does.

You can pick up a large bottle of Dettol in the supermarket for around about £3.50 for a 750ml bottle. I find that this lasts a long time as you dilute the Dettol with water so you end up not really needing to use too much of it at once.

I would recommend Dettol if you are looking for a really good antiseptic and disinfectant that can be used all around the house and will make your house clean and germ free.
