Oh dear fallen over get the Dettol make it better there, there.

How many of us have had this happen to us?

Dettol seems to have been around forever cleaning our wounds.

In 1933 Reckitt Benckiser introduced Dettol, it is a germicide and is endorsed by the medical profession.

The smell of Dettol always brings back those memories of being sick and the sick cleaned up with Dettol. Almost makes me feel sick smelling it. The smell is a clean almost astringent smell A hospital smell.

Dettol contains chloroxylenol.
Dettol is a golden brown liquid concentrated antiseptic it kills bacteria

Dettol can be used for cleaning wounds dilute with water and put onto cotton wool and clean the wound (oh the memories of this and gravel embedded in grazes on my knee) do not use it undiluted it stings.
Used also for insect bites and stings.

I remember the smell of Dettol evading the house when mother boiled the handkerchiefs we had used after a bad cold kill the germs she said.
Also used to clean toilets baths, sinks used to clean the floor after someone is sick or a child has an accident (urine, poo)

You can put 1 or 2 capfuls in your bathwater if you feel germy or have wounds and cuts.

This is a good one,….. Remember squeezing those spots when you were an adalescent mmmmm , the big white puss’y ones ohhh satisfying. Well don’t squeeze,.. Just dab a little dilute Dettol on them.

It recommends using for dandruff too no I don’t fancy washing my hair in Dettol the smell would linger for ages and make me feel sick.

Good for use in the nursery cleaning the potty and disinfecting the toys

Only for external uses do not swallow if swallowed wash mouth out and drink plenty milk or water if splashed in eyes wash eyes with cold-water contact the DR in these instances. r>

Dettol now comes in antiseptic wipes and a cream I think .

Dettol protects, well it has protected me since I was a baby many years ago
