Following a recent operation, I found one infuriating aspect of recovery involved the scar itching like crazy. Almost every evening. And once I started scratching, do you think I could stop? No! I have been buying E45 Itch Relief cream for a few years. My daughter has a tendency towards eczema and though our doctor has prescribed some mild hydrocortisone creams for her, I try not to use them too much as I am aware that they can have some horrible side effects, such as thinning of the skin. I suffer from a condition called winter dry skin which is basically a dry skin condition brought on by a combination of cold weather and dry air from central heating. The condition basically leeches all the moisture from my skin and makes it dry, itchy and sore to the point where I can make myself bleed from scratching.
