Eurax cream is a non greasy cream which is designed to stop itching and skin irritation caused by dermatitis, eczema, allergic rashes, hives, nettle rash, chickenpox, insect bites, stings, heat rash and sun burn. You apply this cream directly to the effected skin two to three times a day and is supposed to give relief for 6 to 10 hours. I brought this cream on recomendation by my pharmacist when my daughter had chicken pox back in april this year to use on her blisters to stop them itching, After applying the cream to the blisters the itching stopped very quickly which was a relief but the skin around the blisters became very sore and inflamed, this ... Occasionally, every now and then, I get an outburst of eczema. Normally it follows the start of ongoing stress, and very rapidly it will spread from around my wrists, to the back of my knees and around the sides of my nose. I have tried many "solutions" before, E45 HC cream was a last resort as the skin which gets effected is always the fragile types and the 'HC' component of the cream will thin the skin further, not sure exactly what would happen but I dont fancy walking around for the next 70 years with red raw wrists and holes in my face. So I thought of trying Calamine Lotion, Aloe Vera, exfoliating then spathering with ... Read the complete review

Eurax does exactly what it says on the box, it stops itching fast. I am a bit of a hands-on gardener, and this can include getting stung to bits by nettles. Now the stinging sensation is unpleasant, but the itching that follows it can be truly unbearable. Eurax acts swiftly to eliminate the itching, or at the very least to reduce it to a level that is easy to put up with without being too conscious of it. I also use it on any itchy insect bites as I find it far more effective in reducing the infuriating itching that they can cause me, verging on an allergic reaction at times, than the many insect bite relief creams, lotions and so on that I have ... I usually have a tube of this kicking around for patches of contact dermatitis I get from washing up liquid or from exposing my hands to the sun. I get very itchy scaly patches across my fingers and they itch and burn like mad. I buy mine from Boots for about £3.50 and only usually buy the small tube as it lasts ages. You apply to the itchy patches and rub in lightly (not scratch for blessed relief while applying!) then the cream gets to work. It does indeed reduce itching but I wouldn't say it stops it altogether, and it depends on the cause of the itching in my opinion. It's useless for hives but on my contact dermatitis it seems to be ... Read the complete review

I love this stuff, last night I woke up with inordinately itchy legs and I was desperately trying not to scratch them (husband always nudges me if he thinks I'm scratching) but I couldn't get back to sleep. I got up for a wee and put some of this on, went back to bed and suddenly it was 0530 and time to get up. Brilliant. It doesn't even sting. Doesn't smell great though. I would recommend you put it in your first aid kit and certainly never go on holiday without it. I would say that you shouldn't put it on broken skin though. It's a little greasy so you need to be careful with your clothes but it comes in a good sized tube and is ... Read the complete review
