Advantages: Great at stress busting and smelling divine

Disadvantages: Smell may be too heavy for some

Ok for some reason the tin for this displayed on the photo is wrong but the mini review is right!

I actually suggested this product for a review as it is the one thing I cant live without, i just adore it!

Please let me indulge myself totally by talking about his fabulous company, I think I may be here a while! lol

What is Lush?

Its a simple concept. They have shops and sell mostly natural products that are derived from fruit and vegetables and essential oils. They don't believe in animal testing and none of the ingredients they use are tested on animals, they prefer to test on humans lol
They make their own products and fragrances by hand, and use simple recyclable packaging that clearly states who made it and when and the use by date.
Sounds lush so far eh!

You always know when your near a lush shop. The smell is intoxicating.
I cant ever resist going in and at least looking though granted I very rarely leave empty handed.

Basic well laid out shop with lots of samples out to try and the staff are always smiley and helpful without being pushy.
I never leave without some free samples (you only have to ask and they're generous sizes) and a copy of the lush times (their newspaper) to sit and ponder on the bus home to see what to purchase next!

Massive range of products which are:

Bath ballastics
Bath melts
Bubble bars
Body butters
Soap
Shower gellies

Moisturisers
Hand and body cream

Lots of gift sets in assorted prices and lots of seasonal specials.
Please note there isn't one of everything and the selection process could take hours lol

On to the product I'm reviewing which to clarify is Flying Fox temple balm.

The packaging....

A tin , its as simple as that really, a tin slightly bigger than a ten pence piece with a screw lid. Orange labeling on the front telling you what the products is and on the back a label which tells you when it was made and when to use it up by.
Tells you to massage into pulse points and lists the ingredients.

The idea of a temple balm is to massage into your pulse points and the ingredients get into your blood stream as well as the smells affecting your mood.

The actual balm....

Is dark orange coloured, a hard cream that when you dab on skin turns to a slightly oily liquid (please note not to use too much!)

Smell wise its very heavy and the smell that hits me in the face is Jasmine. Its really really nice, the smell doesn't fade for hours and hours and last summer I wore it as a fragrance all the time on the recommendation of a sales assistant and I remember that even though I was in the sun (occasionally, I do live in the UK) it didn't feel greasy on my skin and I got complimented loads on my aroma.

The first time I received a pot of this temple balm was from an ex bf who was lush mad! (yes they do lush for boys too, just watch your own stock and don't let them nab yours) and he got it for me after he went into the shop for his king of shaves, shaving foam.

He was looking for stuff to treat me to cos he knew I'd kick off if I didn't get a treat and saw this product and the sales assistant told him all about it. I'd had bad pmt for a few days (hence why he was out shopping by himself) and he got it for me.

When he explained what it was for he nearly got it thrown at him and topped with he had been discussing my monthly cycle with a sales assistant , it was another reason for me to have the hump lol. He did get forgiven though and he had made a rod for his own back while we were together cos I went flying fox mad every month (if you like this fragrance you'll love the shower gel!).

I use it mainly as I was told that it was brilliant for helping with the symptoms of pmt, which I suffer with awfully (Jasmine and Ylang Ylang are proven to help with mood swings.

I'm not saying a dab of this on my wrists makes me turn into an angel but I do feel calmer, whether that's in my mind or not, but more importantly I feel less like a trog and more feminine!

Although priced at £3.95 for a 10g tin it really lasts and lasts and I haven't found a product to rival this concept in any other way.
I think its a fantastic price for an excellent product and brilliant for any stroppy cow (even yourself) lol

Summary: I'm still a stroppy madam but I cant blame pmt!
