Advantages: soothing
Disadvantages: greasy
I know it shouldn't be said that men require temple balms. Men are expected to brave headaches and stress and soldier on until they pass out. Now, I am not quite like that. At the first sign of stress or upset, I usually have to have a nice cup of tea, a digestive biscuit, some Kalms pills and a lie down. In that order.
Life can throw many harsh and distressing situations at you and often you can be caught off guard and need something to make you feel a little more perky. This stuff can aid the relaxation process.
Jasmine is the main ingredient which is renowned for its relaxation properties. It is supposed to restore a healthy and balanced body and mind. I am not sure I would go that far, but the scent is instantly calming and the smell does make you come over quite chilled.
The Tin
It comes in a little tin, think of the little Vaseline tins and you're on the right track. A tin will last you about two months at least, or longer if used sparingly. Afterwards, you can use the tin to store small trinkets or maybe to catch insects in.
The Balm
Vey easy to spread, a little is all you need on the tip of the finger. Work effortlessly into the temple and the wrists and the scent will soon start to relax the senses. The primose oil is another health benefit and agelica lives up to its name, delivering a heavenly gush of essential oils.
Does it work
It won't cure a massive headache, but I think a dash every now and then will help tame a wild mood. The psycological effect of knowing it is on will probably make you feel better too.
Price
Expect to pay just over £4.00 for the tin. Use it when you're stressed, going on a long shopping trip, before bedtime, before a family get together, while doing yoga.
Summary: not bad
