Advantages: great for cleaning out kidneys

When we were kids we used to drink a juice called dandelion and burdock, it came from the pop man who brought round demi jars full of different juices on a horse and cart.
Nowadays it can be bought in bottles at the supermarket but it's not the same as the herbal drink.
The name of both herbs has been taken and the drink has been turned into something else. Here's the real burdock and what it does.

Burdock is a biennial plant which flowers in early to midsummer, the plant is quite a tall one and can be found growing by ditches and on roads everywhere.
It's quite a common herb and if your not sure what it looks like then remember back to being a child, when you most probably pulled the dried flower heads off this plant and threw them at your mates.
We used to call them sticky backs as the round spikey heads used to stick on clothes, we were always throwing them at unsuspecting kids who walked past us as they looked so funny with loads of these stuck to the back of their blazers.
Kids can be so cruel sometimes.

The plant itself is the best blood purifier in the herbal system of medicine.
It helps to clean out the kidneys, so is good to drink as an infusion made from the leaves after a heavy night out on the alcohol.If your not sure what you are looking for in a plant, then these tablets cut out all the hunting around in fields as they are available in all health shops.
