My cold continues. I am currently working my way through a huge pile of Soothers, Tunes, and the subject of this review: Halls Mentho-lyptus sweets. Of the three throat sweets mentioned, these are probably the best. These sweets come in a quite funky looking packet which is a shiny, metallic silver and red colour. It contains 9 sweets and costs 35 pence from most supermarkets or pharmacies. Each sweet is individually wrapped and is a red colour. These lozenges are supposed to provide relief for 'blocked nose, head colds, chestiness and sore throats' according to the packet. The active ingredients are Menthol and Eucalyptus Oil. The usage ... My thoughtful older daughter carefully picked these out for me when I was suffering from a cold, sore throat & cough earlier this week, She paid around 59p from Tesco for this pack which contains about 8 lozenges & the total weight is 45g. Each one is individually wrapped in its own wrapper so they don't stick together & are really easy to undo unlike some others I've tried. Each oval-shaped sweet is about 2cm x 1.5cm which is a good size as they are quite deep & they're a lovely deep cherry colour. So here I am all stuffy headed and coughing not able to do anything due to the cough. This illness has been harder on me than I thought it was. I quickly moved from tea's and toddy's to pills and lozenges. I bought these cough lozenges as I have had them before and they usually work for a little while. As I am trying to watch my sugar intake I got the sugar free version. The flavor is as what I would expect. A menthol flavor with a hint of cherry to cover the bad taste that would other wise be left in your mouth. Each lozenge seems to last around 20 minutes or so as long as you dont chomp them. Chomping them seems to void the purpose of the ... Read the complete review

I am having a terrible time with a cold, sore throat and stuffy head. I thought I'd try these sugar free mentho-lyptus lozengers to try and combat my poor health, however, unfortunately I didn't prevail in my attempts. Firstly I thought they might do some good, you get a sense that as you suck on the lozengers your noes does feel clear, which is a good start, the back of your throat also starts to ease up and you generally start of feel clearer... but... as soon as the lozenger was gone, it all came flooding back. I wasn't going to dismiss the lozenger that quickly so I took another, but the same happened again. It seems that although they are good when they ... Read the complete review
