I am the first to admit that I am a complete and utter baby when I have a sore throat. I hate it. I can cope with anything else but if my throat goes it is best to just avoid or ignore me until it is better! Whenever I come down with the dreaded sore throat, I always make sure I have a multitude of medicines around me. One of those are these Halls throat lozenges. Halls lozenges come in many different flavours - blackcurrent, original, extra strong, menthol and a few more which I cannot remember. Personally I always go for the original flavour as the extra strong really feels like it is tearing my throat out because it is so strong! The original ones come in a ... Read the complete review

Whenever I get so much as a sniff and a cough in the same day I like to have some of these handy for the immiment sore throat. Unfortunately they are getting harder and harder to locate, often I can only find the extra strong version which although still effective they aren't that pleasant, so if you can find the original Halls featured in the picture - let me know! Please note that these are not the same as Halls Soothers which seem to be a lot more popular, Halls Soothers have goo in the middle of each one and in my opinion are nowhere near as effective as Halls Originals. Waking up with a dry, scratchy, painful throat has got to be on the worst feelings ... Read the complete review

I have had a sore throat and mild cold over the past few days but it really isn't bad enough for me to take time off of work or even to take regular Ibuprofen like I normally would. Its just that type of cold which hangs around in the background and lets you know its there but doesn't really make any move to get better or worse. One thing I have found that just takes the edge off a little are Halls Mentho-Lyptus Throat Lozenges Original which I saw by chance when at the checkout till in Asda. One tube cost 45p - and as each tube contains nine lozenges, that equates to just 5p per lozenge - which seems a very reasonable price to pay for something that makes me feel a ... I just hate colds. I get at least one every winter. Firstly you have to suffer with that horrible feeling inside when the cold is coming on. This is before you get the outwardly symptoms and therefore it is difficult to get any sympathy from anyone! Then when you finally start feeling better you get the horrid outwardly symptoms that make you look and feel quite disgusting. One of the horrible parts of a cold is feeling congested and blocked up. These lozenges are designed to help with this very part of the cold. Halls is a well known make and has quite a bit of respect in the lozenges world. It is a brand, along side Tunes, that people trust and therefore ... Read the complete review
