Happinose

Happinose is a nasal decongestant balm. It is available in a tube (14g) over the counter from most Chemist's, priced at around £3.50-£4. Happinose is used for relief of nasal congestion associated with colds and hayfever and soothes irritated skin around the nose. It contains levomenthol (0.3% w/w) as well as geranium and eucalyptus oils with a white soft paraffin and light liquid paraffin base. I first saw this advertised in the National Papers about six months ago. I did look at the advert in a somewhat quizzical manner,due to its' name(It sounds like a gnome in a fairy-tale!)A time after this I developed what you might call a bit of a stinker in the cold stakes. The name of this cold cure made we quite suspicious when I first saw it. I ask you, 'Happinose???' I can still remember the time a friend at work recommend this balm to me. I must have looked a sight, with a glowing and dripping red nose. My sniffing over the lunch period must have broken her as she even offered to get me some! I took this advice with scorn and left it for a long time before buying it, after all I had a bag full of treatments that I could rub on my sore nose. What a great product!
