Advantages: Fast acting

Disadvantages: None other than you only take them when you are not well

Ibuproen is one of the pain killers I use if I have a headache as I find it very effective and it does not have any side effects on me like an upset stomach that I do get with some pain killers, I also find it affective at treating and inflammation in my joints or if I'm running a temperature.

Made by Sigma pharmaceuticals the extra strength tablets that I bought from my local chemist cost £3.99 for a pack of forty eight tablets. The recommended dosage is one tablet two to three times a day and it is advised not to exceed three in a 24 hour period. The tablets are easy to take with a glass of water and they are easy to swallow.

I find that they are quick acting as well and have used them when my back has been sore after a strenuous dance session as the prevent inflammation from persisting, in addition they work well to provide relief from headaches.

Summary: Pain relief

They are really bad for your stomach and shouldnt be taken on a hangover as they mix with the acid in your stomach from the alcohol

It's worth noting that as an NSAID, these can, in some people, cause stomach upsets and ulcers. You should also avoid taking them with other NSAID (such as aspirin) unless prescribed for the same reason.

If you're allergic to aspirin (or other NSAIDs), these are also contraindicated.

I take ibuprofen a lot, and usually have some in my bag just in case. I find them REALLY useful for menstrual cramps.
