For kids Diarrhea is a laughing matter and I guess even adults can find it amusing too. I myself can admit that until I experienced it for the first time I was not sure what it was all about. I went to a foreign country where my body didnt acclimatise to the food and thats when I got stuck down with the runs.

Imodium provides pretty much instant relief and will literally stop the runs in its tracks which is amazing. I never knew normal over the counter medicine could be that good. Symptoms usually started with stomach pain. You can tell when it is Diarrhea symptons as the stomach pain makes you want to go to the loo very badly! Then of course the stool is very loose and liquidy and its really not worth talking about here, but it isn't a pleasent experience at all. Diarrhea is a natural occurance though of your body trying to sort out its internal problems that usually result from spicy or food that is a bit off or different from what you normally have.

The recommended dose is 2 pills initally and then an extra one after each loose bowel. With a maximum of 6 per day and if the symptoms persist after a day or so you should go to the doctor and get yourself checked out as it may be something completely different and of course more help would be needed.

At the end of the day Imodium only is temporary relief, to sort out the problem you need to make sure you eat the right food. So its best to check online and see what you shouldn't eat, but during this period I tend to stick away from Milk, Cheese type products and also any fried or spicy food and I like to stick to simply dry stuff like Toast or Crackers.

It really is quite a sensitive subject to talk about as Diarrhea is an embrassed subject to talk to other people to talk about and I cant imagine going to the doctor and talking about it. What I can say however though is that Imodium does provide relief and literally does stop the runs in like 10mins. So I highly recommend this product and havent tried any other Diarrhea medicine, but only because Imodium has never failed me and hence I haven't needed to check out elsewhere.
