Advantages: no prescription needed and no adictive ingredients

Disadvantages: can be expensive depends where you buy them

It was recommended by my driving instructor they I try kalms tablets, they are available to buy with out prescription, they are a herbal based tablet claiming to relive periods of worry, irritability, stresses and strains but does it work? That is the question

What are Kalms? :
~~~~~~~~~~~
The box states Kalms are a traditional herbal remedy containing a blend of pure plant ingredients that can bring welcome relief from worry and irritability often caused by the stresses of modern living, they promote natural sleep (although a kalms sleep range is available) and bring relief to symptoms associated with the menopause including wakefulness, flushing and cold sweats.
The active ingredients are:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hops powdered BHP 45mg. These are used as a sedative and help with sleep problems

Extract of valerian from 135mg. This ingredient is used to help relive tension and irritability, they are less addictive than other tablets used for calming the body

Extract of gentian from 90mg. Natural calming herbs which can help relive the symptoms of mild depression.

Other ingredients are listed on the leaflet inside:
Acacia BP, Beeswax BP, Calcium carbonate BP, Carnauba Wax BP, Colloidal Anhydrous Silica BP, Magnesioum Stearate BP, Shellac BPC, Sodium Starch Glycollate BP, Stearic Acid BPC, Sucrose BP, Talc BP, Titanium Dioxide BP.

Do not take if you are allergic to any of the above ingredients.

The packaging:
~~~~~~~~~~
The box is a light blue with a little blue orb sat in what looks like water. The word Kalms is written in a darker blue across the front with a little blue bird above it. They come in boxes of 100 or 200 I brought mine in the 100 size for about £3.50. You'll be able to pick them up from any chemist Lloyd's pharmacy, boots and even places like Wilkinson. The expiry date is shown on the top of the box, do not take if it has gone past this date. The bottle inside is made of glass and does not have a child safety cap on so make sure they are kept away from children.
Any complaints should go to the manufactures there address is on the back of the box
How to take them:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Adults over the age of 12 can take up to 2 tablets three times a day if necessary with water and after meals. They are not suitable for children under 12 years old nor are they suitable for pregnant or breast feeding women. If you take to many kalms although they are unlikely to cause any real harm always seek medical advice. If you find that kalms are not helping with your symptoms always talk to your doctor to rule out any serious problems. Also consult your doctor if taking any other medication before you start to use Kalms just to be safe.

Do they work
~~~~~~~~~~
So as I was saying then do they work well I have only been taking them 10 days now and have noticed a big improvement in my driving, I didn't really notice the difference till I had a driving lesson two days after I'd started taking them but even then after only two days the difference is my driving was amazing.
The feeling:
~~~~~~~~~~~

I was really chilled the best way to describe it would be exactly as it says calm. I didn't panic, my breathing was normal I didn't even think about going wrong it was like a confidence build. I knew everything would just go my way and it did.

Since taking kalms I feel great not only do I feel less stressed with driving but I don't get irritated at little things any more. I don't intend to take them for ever and at first I was a bit sceptic to try them I didn't want to be reliant on tablets but I gave it a go anyway and I don't feel reliant at all.

Im going to continue to take them up until my test next week (wish me luck) and I don't feel I will need them from then on. I would recommend this to any one who feels practically stressed at little things or if your very nervous about something it cant hurt to try them you never know they mite just work.

What are the tablets like?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was a little worried at first I couldn't take kalms as I have difficulty swallowing them but they are Farley small and are the coated type not powder so they go down much easier. They are white in colour and smaller than the size of a smarty. They don't smell very nice if I sniff in the bottle but there's no taste to them in your mouth quite strange maybe that's just me.
bizarrely, I took these before my test - but imagine that I took 7 tests before I passed! I took these on the last ones and they did the trick, although its all mind over matter. good job really, as I managed to land the same instructor 6 out of 7 tests, think he was sick of the sight of me, told me on the last one the next time he wanted to be in a car with me was if i was driving a cab!!
