No more red nose (Kleenex Balsam Tissues)

Advantages: protects and soothes

Disadvantages: could do with being a bit thicker for heavy colds

After a trip for cold supplies with her Dad my daughter came back a box of Kleenex Balsam tissues. We normally get the supermarkets own brand so I was surprised, but was informed that these tissues are the best ones to use. The Kleenex Balsam tissues leave behind a microfine film of protective balm containing calendula which prevents the skin from drying out and getting red.

The tissues are packaged in a very nice box. It is yellow coloured on end and gradually changes shades through the greens and finally to dark blue. It has a white outline that it actually a profile of a face. The box has a nice large opening which makes the tissues very quick and easy to dispense. Very important when you sneezing everywhere as my daughter does.

The box of tissues contain 90 tissues. They are 3 ply. The size of each tissue is 21x20cm.
The ingrediants that the wipes contain are: Paraffinum Liquidum, Ceresin, Stearyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Calendula and Officinalis.
The tissues are dermotologically tested.

On feeling the tissues they feel very soft and smooth. When I rubbed a tissue between my fingers you can feel the protective balm. They do not have any odour that I could detect.

My daughter has been using for two days now. She has no sign of a red nose so the protective balm must be working. Its normally bright red and dry by now. She loves the silky feel the tissues leave behind. Its nice not to have the moans of my nose hurts. She loves using these tissues and are definately worth the extra money.

The tissues could do with being a bit stronger, for a bad cold you need to use several of the tissues each time you blow your nose.

These tissues are very nice to use and do protect your nose. They dont improve your cold but do help the discomfort that comes wih it.

They cost £1.46 from the supermarket.

They do other pack sizes pocket packs and extra large tissues.

Summary: great tissues which prevent red nose effect!
