I dont normally suffer from the kind of colds that make you sneeze all the time - that was until last week when I sneezed for Britain - nope, scrap that I sneezed for the world!!!

Unable to cope with blowing my nose on toilet roll I remembered my husband had a pack of these in his study and promptly snatched them.

I used the kleenex plus balsam mansize - currently costing £2.19 a box in Tesco.

The tissues come in a multicoloured box - blue,green,yellow with an oval piece in the middle with the words Kleenex Balsam in large lettering in it. This piece is perforated and is removed to gain handy access to the tissues.

Even just touching the first tissue I knew these were going to be kinder to my somewhat red hooter - very soft to touch and yet still thicker than most. They are coated with something called "Calendula" which is a protective balm designed to help prevent your nose drying out too much and getting red.

After 5 days of constantly blowing my nose it was definately not as sore as it would have been on the old toilet roll or cheaper tissues - it was red but not quite rudolph standard.

These are fairly pricey I will admit so I will definately buy again if I have another severe cold but not for the odd blowing of my snout!!

Summary: Worth it if you have a nasty cold
