Advantages: Doesn't leave you with a red nose!
Disadvantages: Expensive, but not really a disadvantage as they're worth every penny.
Aaatchooo! Excuse me a moment while I reach for my Kleenex Balsam....
I honestly don't know how I coped before these tissues hit the supermarket shelves - they are the best tissues I've ever come across. We all know how irritating it is to suffer a cold for a few days & end up with a nose that would rival Rudolph the Reindeer's, but for me & my fellow hayfever sufferers a few days of nose-blowing turns into months of nose-blowing every year.
No matter how much you pay for tissues, no matter how soft or how reputable the brand, after a certain amount of time you're bound to end up with a dry, red, sore nose. But, with continual use of Kleenex Balsam tissues, you can virtually eliminate your red nose.
The tissues themselves are very soft anyway, but have the added benefit of a protective balm which contains calendula to help prevent your skin drying out. The tissues don't feel slick or anything & at first use you do wonder if the extra dosh you've splashed out is going to be worth it, but rest assured the balm is there & it IS going to work.
I usually buy the regular size boxes (90 tissues x 3 ply, 21cm x 20cm). They can be found in a twin pack for added value (I bought a twin-pack at Asda last week for the bargain price of £2!). These tissues are also available in mansize & handy pocket packs (6 in a pack, 10 tissues each pack).
They are quite expensive compared to other brands/varieties, but well worth the extra pennies. I recently went shopping in Tesco & couldn't find the Kleenex variety, so bought Tesco's own brand balm tissues. They are awful. And they cost me £2.57 for a twin pack - what a rip-off!
In future I will stay faithful to Kleenex Balsam...!
Summary: Use these whenever you have a cold/hayfever...
