It comes around to the time of year when i get my regular flu. I always mean to get the flu jab but as i dislike needles i also seem very good at being able to put it off. Well that time of year came again in February and i woke up one morning feeling awful with a headache, runny nose, aches & pains.

As i love finding bargains, i bought a supermarkets own brand tissues which were quite cheap. I usually take about a week to recover from the flu and have a constantly runny nose. By day three of my flu, the gentle skin around my nose was a flame red colour, the skin was worn away and it was agony to even touch. Feeling sorry for myself, i sat and cried. My lovely boyfriend went to the shop and came back with flowers, chocolates, lemsip and the best thing of all..... Kleenex Balsam tissues!

I have to admit they were an absolute godsend! They are Dermatologically tested and coated with a lovely soothing balm to protect the delicate skin on your nose from drying out. As soon as i used one, it was gentle against my nose, felt soft to the touch and after a few days the skin around my nose wasnt sore at all and the worst of my flu was over.

I was annoyed at myself for being such a cheapskate and not buying the Kleenex Balsam tissues to begin with. They are worth absolutely every penny! A box of ninety cost me £2.19 and i was feeling so rough after a few days i would have paid double this!

If you are unfortunate enough to get the cold or flu, please take my advice and buy these. They are excellent!
