Advantages: Soft, strong, thick

Disadvantages: A little pricey (but you get what you pay for)

I seem to have a mild cold yet again, and a week or so ago when I was walking into town, I started to get a runny nose, but had no tissues with me. I nipped into a smallish Boots store on the way, to pick up a pocket pack of tissues, and although with tissues I usually just buy the cheapest, the only ones they had available in a pocket size were the Kleenex Ultra Soft.

These tissues are available in either pocket sized pack containing 9 tissues, or a box containing 55 tissues, and are also available in Man-size.

One good thing about the packaging, is that there are lots of different designs available. Personally, I don't care what a box of tissues looks like - in fact the ones I usually buy are yellow and white with 'Somerfield Simply Value' emblazoned on the side! Even so, I think it's a nice idea that you can get various designs to match your taste or perhaps even your décor.

The tissues themselves are white and have a slight dimpled pattern around the edge. They are 4-ply which makes them quite thick - much thicker than the budget tissues I usually purchase, and I have to say, they really do live up to their name of Ultra Soft. They feel incredibly soft - luxurious even against the skin, so I know they are going to be gentle against my skin.

As the tissues are so thick, I found that I actually got more use out of them, as they didn't disintegrate straight away - in fact, they didn't fall apart at all, they are surprisingly strong.

I must mention, that it says in the Dooyoo description above that these contain conditioner to make them soft. I'm not sure if this is actually the case, as I can't see anything about this mentioned on the pack or the Kleenex website.

The tissues cost round 49p from for a pocket pack, and around 1.99 for a box of 55. They are widely available from supermarkets as well as places like Boots, so you shouldnt have any problems finding them.

Overall, I was quite impressed with these tissues. In the past I have dismissed the more expensive brands of tissues as a waste of money, however I would definitely buy these again, as they are so soft and strong, they last longer than cheaper brands.

Summary: Ultra Soft Tissues
