Advantages: These tissues feel very soft and are kind to the skin on your nose!

Disadvantages: It's a pity they are not the same size as the 'Man-Size' tissues!

With a dreaded cold and my nose acting like a tap that couldn't be turned off, I went in search of some tissues. The skin on my nose had already been shredded by rough tissues and so I wanted some Balsam ones as they have proved to be very soft and kind to my skin in the past.

Unfortunately, the shop didn't have any Balsam tissues, but the Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues looked to be the next best thing.

Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues come in a burgandy and sepia colour box which contains 80 3-ply tissues which are 21 x 20cm in size (so smaller than the Kleenex 'Man-Size' tissues).

The box states that the tissues are 'Specially created to be a pleasure to touch, Kleenex Ultra Soft tissues feel lovely against your skin. They provide the ultimate in softness'.

So, are the tissues soft? Yes, they are! They definitely live up to their Ultra Soft name. I have been using these tissues for a couple of days now and the skin on my nose is no longer shredded and actually feels soft itself. By now my nose would normally be sore from using tissues, but it isn't. I think these tissues are just as good as the Balsam ones I've used in the past.

These tissues cost me around £3 from Spar, which is quite expensive, but a small price to pay for a soft nose when the rest of me feels awful! However, I believe Boots does them for around half the price (but it wasn't open when I needed them!).

Summary: A nice soft tissue.

Are they really £3 now. Goodness. I will stick with the Tescos ones (unless I have a really bad cold)

Edinburgher - There's not much more you can say about a box of tissues... or is there? :-p
