Thank you for clicking this review despite the terrible title ;) There are many options available for head pain these days besides painkillers, and one of these are cooling head strips. The two main brands I've seen are Kool n Soothe and 4Head. For me, despite the price, I keep coming back to Kool n Soothe. How Are They Packaged? Everything about the packaging screams blue, to match the product. The strips are presented in a small, thin cardboard box. There are two types of Kool N soothe available, 'Migraine' and 'Fever', the latter being aimed at children with a Mickey Mouse design on the front of the strips. I have previously been ... Recently I have been getting quite a few headaches and because I think they're mostly down to stress rather than illness I don't like to take painkillers for them. I don't like to take pills at the best of times, but especially when the pill won't actually tackle the cause of the problem, only provide a temporary solution to the pain. Obviously Kool n Soothe Migraine strips won't tackle the cause of stress either and they, also, will only provide a temporary solution to my headache but at least by using these strips I was hoping not to have to fill my body with unneccessary chemicals. Whilst my headaches can in no way be described as migraines with their ... Read the complete review

Whenever I have a headache I normally reach straight for the painkillers. However I was finding that paracetamol was having a limited effect on my headaches. I don't suffer very often but when I do they tend to be back headaches and give me a throbbing pain in my temples. I saw these in Asda they cost £3 for a box of 4. The strips use the natural cooling action of the body to work. They are made from 70% water and as the heat from your forehead passes through the strip the water starts to evaporate and creates a cooling sensation that last for up to 8 hours. The strips are designed to replace the traditional method of using a cold flannel, which I ... Read the complete review

My other half used to suffer migraines on a frightfully regular basis, and he was recommended these to try by the doctor if he couldn't take his prescription medicine quick enough (it was meant to be taken at the very first sign before the migraine really got going). Unfortunately he found they done very little in the face of a migraine, but he did find them soothing and relaxing, and more effective than the cold facecloth he would use prior to getting these. We still had a few knocking about in the cupboard, and I have been giving them a go since I get quite a lot of tension headaches (probably the laptop position!) They come in a cardboard box with the usual ... Read the complete review

It's not often I get a migraine or even a bad headache these days as I'm on meds to stop this happening, however, when I do, I like to have a variety of things at hand to use to alleviate the symptoms as quickly as possible, and kool n soothe patches are one of those things. Packaging What you pick up off the shelf in the chemist or supermarket is a box. On the outside it shows someone using the product, and some information about how to use them and how long they last etc. Inside the box are sachets each one containing a kool n soothe strip which makes it nice and easy to use them just one at a time. Cost I've seen these as low as £2 ... Read the complete review
