Halls Soothers Throat Tablets ... have not felt at all well this week and this morning my throat feels raw and very sore. I am supposed to be taking my granddaughters to the pictures on Sunday so I want to be feeling better for that. I ran up to Sainsbury s this morning for something to make my throat less sore and to buy some Olbas Oil, I have eaten so many Lockets in my lifetime that I am bored of them so I decided to buy a packet of Halls Soothers. Soothers are individually wrapped lozenge sweets and I have chosen the cherry flavour for the simple reason that these were all Sainsbury s had. Vicks Vapour Rub ... are two ailments that really make me feel lousy, a hangover and a stuffy nose. The cure for the hangover is one I can never administer (don t drink) the cure for the stuffy nose is easy, Vicks Vaporub. I swear by this stuff when a cold gets hold of me, it never fails and it gets rid of the stuffiness no matter how bad it might be. I find myself using a 100g tub every time I have the cold but as they only cost about £2 depending on where you buy them then it is money well spent. To use Vicks Vaporub you simply rub the ointment onto your chest and allow the vapours to rise and penetrate your stuffy nose clearing both nose and throat as they go. There are instructions... Paracetamol ... is one of the few medications you will find in my kitchen cupboard. i am not a big fan of taking tablets unnesesarily but one thing i cannt tolerate is the pain from a head ache, it realy stops me doing my normal day to day activitys but taking paracetamol helps to get rid of it so they are always there. You can get paracetamol in circular or oblong tablets that are powder based so the horrid little things stick to your tongue and taste awful but realy do work to combat pain, you can take 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours but no more than 8 tablets in any 24 hours.
