Because it is hot, there is a sense of relief from symptoms like sore throat and the sensatino of the warm drink going down your throat does provide you with a source of comfort. I find that it takes around seven minutes for the actual medicine to start kicking in. The bad news however is that you cannot take this pregnant if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Crowned Review Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Lemon: Lemsip Max: don't believe the (cheesy) adverts (555 words)

My most recent bout of 'manflu' (OK, a REALLY bad cold!) saw me without my favourite remedy for colds and flu, Night Nurse. Disaster! I did, however, have some Lemsip Max Cold and Flu Lemon sachets that my girlfriend left at my house so resolved to try these. I used Lemsip a lot when I was young; this was always the medicine of choice when we had a cold. I used to enjoy the taste of it, but never found it completely effective. Well, either my taste buds have changed (a possibility, I admit), or the new Lemsip Max has a completely different taste because after preparing the sachet in boiling water and tasting it, I found it simply sickly! There was a ...  Read the complete review

Well I have somehow managed to get myself a nasty cold on probably hottest day in September. Don't know how I manage these things. Anyway I had a look through my supplies of tablets etc to take and came across a packet of lemsip max. Whenever I have a cold I tend to take a mixture of this and also cold and flu tablets (although obviously not at the same time). Lemsip is basically sachets of powder that you add to hot water to make a drink. The powder is made up of paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride (decongestant) and vitamin c. As it has paracetamol in it you can't take it at the same time as any other paracetamol products, which is why i alternate it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Lemon: Fighting Flu = Lemsip & You (747 words)

I found myself the victim of aches and pains and various other ghastly flu like symptoms over the course of last weekend. After lying awake all Saturday night unable to sleep due to the pain in every joint of my body and also pondering if I had contracted swine flu and if so whether I would be able to create a plan that would enable me to give a deadly dosage of it to Paris Hilton before snuffing it, I decided to tackle the virus with some Lemsip. Lemsip are a well known brand of flu and cold remedies that come in various forms such as sachets or capsules. Manufactured by Reckitt Benckiser I found that I'd never been a big fan of the original Lemsip but Lemsip ...  Read the complete review

Lemsips Map Cold and Flu Last week I had a cold/flu. I was pretty sure that it wasn't swine flu and decided to make the trek to work. I think in hind sight I should have just taken it off. Getting to work was fine the only difficulty I had was when I actually sat down to do some work. I found it really hard to do and struggled to concentrate or get focused. I needed some sort of help and other people had recommend Lemsips so I decided to give them a try. What are Lemsips? Lemsips are a brand of cold and flu remedy drinks. They are best known for their lemon variety of hot drink but they are also available in blackcurrant, lemon and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Lemon: Always with me (551 words)

Every year coming winter I am bound to have at least a couple of bad cold and I fight off at least 2-3 more. This is due in part to my job, which brings me to travel around the globe and when I travel on business I never know what the weather will be at my destination, plus on my return in London, if I come from a warmer country during European winter I seem to suffer a lot. By the time I land and I arrive at home, many times I already feel I need a Lemsip. So,as a result, I always have in my travel bag few lemsips. Lemsip is basically paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride and vitamin c. The decongestionant is the hydrochloride 12.2 mg and because ...  Read the complete review
