Coming in a box of 6 sachets that are pretty much instant drinks (add hot water and you're ready to go) the nurse (we'll my mother in this case...) has made a single dose of the drink for me. Realising how her son is on deaths door step she's decided to save him (until he gets this months earnings in his bank account...) for now with this magical drink....more

Premium Review Lemsip: Keeps you on your feet when you feel coldy (371 words)

I'm sitting at home today, huddled in blankets, with a January cold. And feeling thoroughly down in the dumps and not at all Elle Woods-like, let me tell you! However, without this product, I doubt very much whether I'd actually be able to sit at the computer at all - I'd probably have to go to bed, and would get no writing at all done today. Lemsip are sachets of flu remedy. You pour them into a mug and add hot water, producing a steaming hot lemony drink. The taste isn't something you'd go out of your way for, but it's not unpleasant (unlike Beecham's Flu Plus, which I personally found made me feel more, not less, sick!). For those that dislike lemon ...  Read the complete review

I felt compelled to write this after one of the most horrendous experiences I have had. I woke up this morning with an awful sore throat and blocked nose knowing that this will be the seventh cold since September...still I continued to attend my first ever driving lesson and wait until I got home to see if it 'passed'...it didn't and this evening I raided the medicine box looking for my tub of Vicks (I used it up last time), my Sudafed tablets (someone pinched them) and my cough medicine was also taken. I realised that after the chemist had closed and with a 'farty' supermarket on my doorstep the Lemsips were the only option. At about £3 for box containing 10 packets I ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Lemsip: Sorts the men from the boys. (960 words)

I thought I?d got away lightly this year, but oh no? here?s the customary cold, a month or so late this year. I remember being given Lemsip as a teenager and hating it ? I don?t know whether it has changed or my taste has, but now I love it! I was bought a pack of the blackcurrant flavour sachets last November/December for a really bad cold and found that they had a very positive effect on me. This time I picked up a box of original lemon sachets, and I have to say I seriously like them both, despite half the world still thinking they are repulsive! *Price* I paid £2.89 in Superdrug for a box ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Only A Lemon Would Take These (1352 words)

My recent bout of the dreaded 'virus' left me scouring the shelves of Boots for some comfort. Knowing that nothing would cure me other than time, I was happy to take something just to help me along. Boots were offering 3 for the price of two on hundreds of over the counter medicines so I was able to try a couple of new products, well new to me anyway. The kids were coughing quite badly so I bought them some Buttercup Syrup, I got myself some Beechams tablets and for the hubby some Lemsip. Unfortunately I used up the Beechams pretty rapid and that left me with the option of my usual co-codamol, which would only help with the headache and any fever or the ...  Read the complete review

As I'm currently suffering from the worst illness known to man, the one that has had many of us on deaths door step and seen most lesser blokes proclaim to need to finalise their will, I'm currently suffering Man Flu. My dry rustic throat that ached with every breath last night has grown, it's tentacles rising and giving birth to a fully fledged head cold, my nose is bunged, my taste buds nigh on dormant and my eyes welling with death it's self. Oh heaven take me now, take me away from this suffering, the couch sure to be my last resting place, this is review my last words and the drink it's about my last drink. Oh this wasn't how it was supposed to be, drinking Lemsip ...  Read the complete review
